Nest Learning Thermostat Wins CES Best of Innovations Award in Eco-Design and Sustainable Technology Category
Palo Alto, California — November 8, 2011 — Nest Labs today announced that the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has recognized the Nest Learning Thermostat™ for excellence in technology and design with its prestigious Best of Innovations Award in the Eco-Design and Sustainable Technology category. The Nest Learning Thermostat learns about you and your home to automatically turn itself down when you’re away, guide you to energy-efficient temperatures when you’re home, and free you from programming hassles by creating a customized temperature schedule.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized by the CEA, particularly in this category,” said Erik Charlton, vice president of sales and marketing at Nest Labs. “We at Nest have been very focused on leveraging modern design and technology, but our ultimate goal with the Nest Learning Thermostat has been to help people use energy more wisely.”
The prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the CEA, the producer of the International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
